The W. Crane Guy Memorial Vocal Scholarship was created to honor the memory, multiple talents and artistic career of Musicians Institute alumnus W. Crane Guy (class of 2010); and is provided to encourage and support the educational growth of a newly enrolling MI Vocal Program student.
The $2,000 scholarship will be awarded in Spring 2012 to a new student (US or non-US citizens) enrolling in the Associate of Arts in Performance (Vocal) program at MI who demonstrates overall outstanding musicianship, and the potential for developing their own unique voice in any style.
Preference will be given to veterans, but this is not required for eligibility.
The deadline for the scholarship application is Feb. 24, 2012.
