The Musicians Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the ESP Outstanding Bass Scholarship at Musicians Institute!
A special live competition event was held on Monday August 26th in the MI Concert Hall for the top five finalists chosen from current MI Bass Program students who had submitted DVD applications in the first round.
The event featured several very exciting performances ranging from Giant Steps to Techno looping to Hard Rock to Funk and back again. Each student performed two songs of their choice, one to tracks and one solo piece. In the end, every talented finalist was a winner thanks to our longtime industry partner ESP Guitars! ESP generously supplied a fantastic new ESP LTD Elite bass to the First prize winner, exceptional tuition discounts for all five finalists and cool new ESP bass straps for every performer!
