Winner of the prestigious 2012 Steve Vai Guitar Scholarship at Musicians Institute: Pritesh Walia recently graduated from Berklee College of Music, and continues to pursue various professional music opportunities and the bright future that lays ahead!

 

Pritesh also teaches lessons on Lick Library and works with Gruv Gear, and ChickenPicks.

Originally from New Delhi, India, Pritesh graduated from Musicians Institute in 2014 and now lives in Boston, MA.

Finalist/winner of the 2014 Stanley Clarke Scholarship at Musicians Institute: Guitar superstar MATEUS ASATO has over 838,000 Instagram followers, his own signature model Suhr guitar (introduced at NAMM 2018), tours with Tori Kelly, Jessie J. SCHOLARSHIPS CHANGE LIVES!

Our weekly (where are they now?) quick visits with some of our past Musicians Foundation scholarship winners continue.

Mathilda Fritzell performs in Return to the Forbidden Planet 

Winner of the 2013 D’Addario Guitar Scholarship AND 2014 Ross Bolton Memorial Funk Guitar Scholarship at Musicians Institute: Mathilda Fritzell, is performing as the onstage guitarist in Return to the Forbidden Planet (now on tour), after a successful 7 week run at the Göteborg (Gothenburg) Opera House in Sweden.

Mathilda has also recently performed in Hair at Göteborg Opera and previously Godspell at the Malmo Opera House in Sweden.

She lives in Gothenberg Sweden.

2012 Schecter Synyster Gates Guitar Scholarship winner: Attila Vörös has performed on world tours with “Nevermore”, “Leander Rising”, Sanctuary, Satyricon, Týr, Strength Of Will and more. Currently, he is preparing for “The Tour From Hel” European tour with the band Týr.

Attila lives in Oslo, Norway and continues to play Schecter guitars.

2014 Stanley Clarke Scholarship winner: Bianca Richardson has performed with XYLØ, Artur Menezes, Marcus Miller, BNBGROOVES. Bianca lives in Los Angeles & is a busy working session/freelance drummer.
