The winner of the Fall 2017 Seymour Duncan Bass Scholarship is Chanjin Oh, who comes to Musicians Institute from South Korea armed with a serious dedication for the bass and a passion for playing rock.
Chanjin explains that he chose to study in the Bass Program at MI because “MI is my dream school.” While at MI he plans to focus his studies on improving his “musicianship, jazz, rock, anything!”
He describes his future goals and aspirations as “seeing people listening to my music and being happy. If they enjoy while they listen to my music, that encourages me to play my music and I will be remembered as a good musician that makes people happy. That is the final goal of my life and my dream.”
Everyone at MI congratulates Chanjin on this achievement, which marks a great beginning to his studies. We look forward to seeing him reach his full potential while at MI.
