FALL 2015 SCHECTER JERRY HORTON GUITAR SCHOLARSHIP WINNER: Logan McGarry

The Fall 2015 Schecter Jerry Horton Guitar Scholarship, named in honor of the Papa Roach guitarist; has been awarded to Logan McGarry.  

Logan comes to Musicians Institute from San Clemente, CA and is entering the Associate of Arts in Performance (Guitar) Program with several years of guitar playing experience in the rock/alternative genres.

While attending MI, Logan will specifically focus on gaining the skills needed to “better write, record, and produce my own music, while receiving guitar instruction from the best teachers in the world”.  He added, “I chose to study at MI to connect with other musicians and to become the best, most well-rounded musician I can be”.

Logan described his long term future goals as “I aspire to become the best guitar player/singer/songwriter I can be, and to write music that has an emotional impact on people around the world”.

Everyone at MI congratulates Logan on winning this prestigious award that supports the education and of a talented, evolving, and very deserving guitarist!
