The Musicians Foundation and Musicians Institute are pleased to announce that Manny Rojas is the recipient of the fall 2013 ESP Acoustic Guitar Scholarship. The LA native comes to MI’s Guitar Program already possessing guitar skills that span multiple genres of Rock, from Classic Rock to Country Rock while looking expand into Jazz, Funk and all the other styles he’s certain to encounter at MI.

Manny notes that “MI offers great education from great educators, I hope to meet them and to learn as much from them as possible. I want to focus on practical music theory and advanced theory, Jazz classes, music business, meeting other students and how to get work”.  He also comes to MI to fulfill his ultimate goal of becoming “a professional songwriter for artists, and for film. I’ve always loved working in a studio environment and I’m willing to do the hard work to get me there. Every performance will be an opportunity, every experience will be a learned lesson, every project will grow a benefit and a friendship, I look forward to it all”.

Everyone at MI congratulates Manny on winning this prestigious scholarship award, and we welcome him as he begins his studies and the many great experiences ahead at MI!
