Please join us in celebrating the legacy and immense talents of Ross Bolton–respected, admired, emulated for 27 years as a beloved member of the Musicians Institute Guitar faculty as its resident Funk guitar specialist. Ross passed away earlier this year from cancer, this fundraiser will raise funds for his wife and two young children, and seeks to set up a scholarship fund in his name at MI.
Ross was a longtime member of Al Jarreau’s band, performer with Euge Groove, Dave Koz, “Jimmy Kimmel Show” band, Shelia E, and many others.
The evening features performances from an MI All Star Faculty Band, several guest stars, as well as a special video tribute.
Be sure to bid on special silent auction items from Yamaha including:
- Tickets are $15 available at the door
(online advance sales have now closed)
Box Office opens one hour before the show (7pm).
MI student tickets are $5 with proper ID at the door, we strongly encourage MI students to make the $5 donation (or more)– but no MI student will be turned away due to lack of funds.
A portion of the event proceeds will also be directly donated to the Ross Bolton Funk Guitar Scholarship fund at Musicians Institute.
We encourage additional TAX DEDUCTIBLE donations for the Ross Bolton fund to be made at the door, via cash, check or credit card — or by clicking here.
(Please state that the donation should be allocated for Ross Bolton Scholarship fund under “Program” notes).
