The spring 2013 Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation Vocal Scholarship at Musicians Institute has been awarded to Kalynne Schoelen.
A native of Red Bluff, California, Kalynne enters the Associate of Arts in Performance (Vocal) program at MI having clearly articulated her career goals of being a successful musician/singer in the required written essay for the HCCCF scholarship award.
She has been singing since the age of 8 and is most comfortable singing in the pop music genre. Kalynne shared that she “hopes to learn the skills to become an overall great musician. I will work on my craft and strive to do my very best every day. I also want to build confidence in myself and in my music.”
She chose to attend Musicians Institute “because this school has everything I will need to succeed. Great teachers, great exposure to the industry and an endless supply of musical information at every corner. My dream is be a successful musician/singer. I ultimately want to make a living by doing what I love: making music.”
Kalynne will receive a complete MI Vocal Program equipment package award:
