October 2012: The Musicians Foundation and Musicians Institute are proud to announce the first-ever Hard Rock Cafe/Hollywood High School Scholarship at MI for 2013, created thru the generous support of The Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood to provide opportunities for a talented, emerging Hollywood High School student to further their education, realize their own creative vision, and to support post-secondary music industry education in the Hollywood community. This is an exciting new partnership between the two Hollywood schools and the Hard Rock!
September 2012: The Musicians Foundation expanded its ongoing support of Grammy Museum music classes for LAUSD students during 2012.
July 2012: The Foundation’s scholarships now span all of MI’s various programs for the first time.
March 2012: The Musicians Institute 1977-1994 Alumni/Staff Reunion raised $30,000 towards Musicians Foundation-managed student scholarships as 350 alumni and staff traveled from all over the world to attend the special two day event. The celebration was truly an expression of the talent, dedication, and passion of MI’s alumni, staff and faculty; who have continued the school’s extraordinary legacy of the past 35 years into the present day.
