Macon, Georgia native Jodon Lavender has been named as the winner of the Musicians Institute 35th Anniversary Keyboard Technology Program Scholarship.
Jodon comes to Musicians Institute having played keyboards for 8 years with a focus on the Gospel/Inspirational genre.
When asked what he intends to learn while studying at MI, Jodon states: “how to become a professional, well-rounded musician who can play in any style or genre. I’d like to learn everything pertaining to composing, conducting, arranging, media scoring, audio engineering and the music business.”
He describes his long term future goals as “my dream is to encourage others through music. I want to be able to produce, and score before the age of 25, and become an entrepreneur who travels the world expressing my musical talents and gifts.”
Everyone at MI welcomes Jodon to the Keyboard Technology Program, and congratulates him on winning this very prestigious award!
