The Vocal Program at Musicians Institute is pleased to announce talented vocalist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Schwing as the winner of the second annual W. Crane Guy Memorial Vocal Scholarship. In winning this prestigious award Caleb, (who hails from Denver, Colorado) demonstrated overall outstanding musicianship, strong vocal skills and the potential for developing his own unique voice.
Asked why he chose to study in the Vocal Program at MI, Caleb states “MI is up to date on the music industry, and their programs and curriculum fit me as an artist perfectly.”
He also shared that “my dream has always been to be a recording artist. I’m not one to be naïve, but to make a living performing and sharing my music would be nothing short of a dream.”
Everyone at MI congratulates Caleb on winning this prestigious award that honors the memory and multiple talents of Musicians Institute alumnus W. Crane Guy (class of 2010); and supports the education of a talented vocal student.
