Musicians Institute is pleased to announce that Alexander Marthol is the recipient of the spring 2012 ESP Acoustic Guitar Scholarship at MI. Alexander comes to MI’s Guitar program from Chicago, Illinois specializing in blues, rock, fingerstyle, and pop styles.
While studying at MI, he plans to “learn the fundamental techniques and theory to become a versatile, well-rounded musician, study several genres and perform with as many musicians as possible at MI. I chose this school because I believe that MI offers an amazing contemporary music education accompanied with exposure to the current trends and topics of today’s music industry.”
After completing MI, Alexander’s goals are to “work as a recording artist/producer, writing and producing for myself and other musicians. I’d like to work in film scoring and open a joint venture record label, signing and releasing music from future artists.”
Everyone at MI congratulates Alexander on winning this prestigious scholarship award, and we welcome him as he begins his studies and the many great experiences ahead at MI!
Special thanks to our longtime industry partner, ESP Guitars for generously sponsoring this scholarship, which helps to provide talented students like Alex with the support, tools and recognition they need to launch successful careers in the music industry.
