PRS Guitar Performance Scholarship Awarded to Kyungmin Do

The Fall 2011 PRS Guitar Performance Scholarship has been awarded to MI Guitar Program student: Kyungmin Do. The South Korean native earned the award (and top votes from the judging panel) with an amazing pryotechnic show of his tapping skills and creative musicality on the MI Concert Hall Stage during the Nov. 10th contest event.

Describing his reasons for coming to MI, Kyungmin said, “What I felt during my first quarter here at Musicians Institute, was that I can go out into the WORLD from this school with the confidence that I CAN DO IT. My goal is to be the BEST guitar player in the world!”

Everyone at MI would like to congratulate Kyungmin on winning this prestigious award which includes a scholarship (tuition credit) and beautiful new PRS guitar.
