Hollywood, October 28th: The Musicians Foundation held it’s annual Board of Directors Meeting, and we are extremely pleased to announce that Dan Kimpel will be serving a one year term as Chairman from Nov. 1st 2011- 2012. Congratulations Dan!
Acknowledged as an authority on popular music, Dan Kimpel contributes to a dizzying variety of print and electronic media, including books, interactive CDs, magazines, websites and videos. He is the author of the best-seller Networking in the Music Business,Networking Strategies for the New Music Business and, most recently, How They Made It: True Stories of How Music’s Biggest Stars Went from Start to Stardom (Hal Leonard Publishing). For five years, Dan conducted weeklong master seminars at Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in the U.K. Stateside, he lectures at colleges, universities and conferences across the U.S. and Canada. At Musicians Institute, Dan teaches a course in Music Business Networking , conducts personal career counseling and a series of courses on behalf of MI for LAUSD High School students at The Grammy Museum.
