The Musicians Foundation and Musicians Institute are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new scholarship program for current students in the Guitar Program at MI, generously sponsored by our industry partner: Paul Reed Smith Guitars!
The newly created Paul Reed Smith Guitar Performance Scholarship Competition kicks off with it’s inaugural live performance event on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 4-7pm in the MI Concert Hall. The Scholarship program will run year-round with live scholarship competition events each spring and fall.
The Paul Reed Smith Guitar Scholarship Competition for fall 2011, invites finalists to compete in a live performance setting for a scholarship award (tuition credit) of $1,500.00 ($750.00 per quarter for two quarters of the program (provided the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress), and a new PRS guitar or amplifier.
The scholarship is applicable for students who are enrolled in the Associate of Arts Guitar Performance program at MI prior to the application deadline of October 17, 2011.
