Legendary master jazz guitarist, Jim Hall (now 80 years old), has been making records for close to a half-century. He’s worked with everybody from Sonny Rollins to Pat Metheny and played everywhere from the Village Vanguard to the White House. His live and recorded collaborations with Bill Evans, Paul Desmond, and Ron Carter are legendary and he has earned widespread acclaim for his skills as a composer and arranger. Named an NEA Jazz Master in 2010, Hall performs and records with a variety of ensembles around the world. He has recorded fifteen CDs on Blue Note Records as a leader and launched his own label, “Inner Circle Music” in 2008.
He brings his current quartet to the Jazz Bakery at MI series, for his first-ever visit to MI!!
